Research + Technology Corridor Master Plan
With 10,000
acres, more than a billion dollars in managed research and over
50,000 jobs already here, the 315 Research + Technology Corridor
truly represents one of the best kept secrets in America. The
challenge for central Ohio lies in creating a shared vision,
promoting greater collaboration among Corridor communities and
partners, and investing in the fixed and “smart” capital assets of
the area.
The potential
returns from this work could prove enormous, generating
a
minimum of an additional 50,000 jobs in the next two decades,
attracting and retaining some of the best and brightest minds, and
turning central Ohio into a premier international destination where
human innovation and technology devise solutions to some of the
world’s most intractable problems.
This Master
Plan, in conjunction with the Business and Implementation Plan,
identifies key Corridor resources and recommends over arching
strategies as well as short- and long-term action steps designed to
help central Ohio energize this job-generating economic engine.
